first_imgAndrew [email protected] up for the weekly Limerick Post newsletter Sign Up GARDAI at Roxboro Road are looking for information regarding a number of burglaries this week and are appealing for anyone with information to come forwardLast Friday a burglary occurred when an elderly lady answered the door to a male.The male persuaded the elderly lady to let him into the house as he stated there was a problem with her water supply.He explained to the elderly lady that he would have to check a valve underneath the sink in the kitchen.However, this lady’s daughter arrived at the house and the male fled the scene out the back door.Gardai are anxious to know if this male was working on his own or in a pair.There was a silver car acting suspiciously in the area around the same time.Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward if they have any information.Maybe someone observed this silver car in the area and took down the registration number.Gardai at Roxboro Road are investigating and can be contacted on 061- 214340.Members of the public who are worried about this sort of crime, the Gardai want to reassure them that if in doubt they should ring their local Garda Station for advice or contact their Community Garda in the area.The advice is – Please do not let any strangers in your property without first asking for ID and if still in doubt ask them to wait while you ring the company they state they are working for to verify the details.
