first_imgSarah Barclay High School of Brewerville last Saturday defeated Elizabeth Crawford High School of Monrovia 15-2 in the finals of the High School Handball at the Sports Commission, on Broad Street.The one-sided game was dominated from start to finish by Sarah Barclay through players Emmanuel Fansieh, Abraham Doward, Jallah Kai, Michael Kay, Jr., and goalkeeper Vamba Kamara.Goalkeeper Kamara was a tower of strength and denied the few chances that Elizabeth Crawford’s Coach Abraham T. Queegbo, who told the Daily Observer that his players were practically new and hoped to do better another time, attempted to show.“It was difficult for the team to play together,” Coach Queegbo said at the end of the match, “but with the experience we’ll make a difference in the future.”True, that could happen in the future, but for now Sarah Barclay had the game wrapped up under them. The tournament was organized by the Liberia Handball Association.In the female division, Sarah Barclay once again took the title as their Elizabeth Crawford opponents did not turn out for the game.Sarah Barclay meanwhile went through the formalities and started game and threw the ball to their team-mates and made a score before the referee ended the game.Sarah Barclay girls’ lineup were Aminata Kamara, Rita Fanciah, Loveta Bility, Annie Sesay and Mabogo Fofana.
