first_imgzoom Crude oil tanker company DHT Holdings, Inc. (DHT) has extended time-charters for three of its Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) to undisclosed oil majors. The vessels in question pertain to the Samco fleet, those being the French-flagged 2007-built Samco Europe, Marshal Islands-flagged Samco Taiga built in 2012 and French-flagged Samco Redwood built in 2011.The charters have been extended for one, two and two years respectively at a daily rate of USD 53,200, USD 45,000 and USD 47,300 respectively.The contract extensions secure 1,800 days of time-charter equivalent earnings at a combined value of about USD 85 million, the company said.DHT Holdings has 19 tankers in its fleet and five newbuilds at Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) scheduled for delivery in 2016.last_img
