first_img Doneil Henry 1 Blackburn boss Gary Bowyer admits he could make another move to sign West Ham defender Doneil Henry at the end of the season following his impressive spell at Ewood Park.Henry only joined the east London club back in January but he was given the chance by Sam Allardyce to join the Championship club on loan. The Canada international helped Blackburn record three successive league victories which included a 2-1 win over Sheffied Wednesday – just three hours after he met up with his new team-mates.But Henry damaged his hamstring during the 3-1 win at Charlton and was forced to undergo surgery last weekend which has ruled him out for the rest of the season.Bowyer wants to invite Henry back for the FA Cup quarter final replay against Liverpool next month and has not ruled out the possibility of making another move for the 21-year-old during the summer.Bowyer, speaking in the Lancashire Telegraph, said: “The most important thing is Doneil has a successful operation and then continues his rehab.“But we’ll certainly stay in touch with him and then assess things in the summer. The poor lad has got a bit of work to do before then.“There are plans for him to come up to see the boys because he made such a great impression during his short spell with us and he built a real relationship with the players and the staff.“We’re looking forward to seeing him and I think we’re trying to get him up for the Liverpool match. Doneil was fantastic on his debut and he continued that form right up until he got injured. He helped us to three wins out of three so he will be a big loss to us.”last_img
